Our Mission
Our purpose is to grant scholarships to students from local regional, low-income families to promote professional, academic, and/or artistic achievement and to provide training workshops to high school students to equip them with the necessary skills to become peer mentors; such information will include the admission requirements, majors, and the tuition fees for the three segments of higher education in the State of California (University of California, California State University, and Private Universities/Colleges).
Our Initiatives
Helping Youth Succeed
Recognizing the enormity of the challenges marginalized communities faces, Chicano/a Latino/a Educational Foundation is dedicated to making a lasting impact by providing youths with opportunities to discover their passions and succeed. While our efforts are driven by our organization's focus, we spread a wide net by investing in a variety of programs.

Past Events

This past summer, we held our residential summer program at the University of California, Santa Barbara, hosting incoming junior and senior students from Birmingham Charter High School. In this 3 day-2 night program, our dedicated staff reviews the UC, CSU, and private universities application process while simultaneously assisting in resume building and conducting mock interviews to provide students with a real world experience. Our goal with these residential programs is to simulate the college experience and demonstrate to students the opportunities that present themselves with pursuing higher education.
